London Games Festival
London Games Summit is part of the London Games Festival, which combines key events throughout the Capital the week of 2-6 October, 2006. Events include the GDC London, the London Game Career Fair presented by Gamasutra.com, GamesIndustry.biz and Eurogamer.net; the London Content, Outsourcing and Middleware Market presented by Tiga; and BAFTA's British Academy Video Games Awards.

Both the London Games Summit and GDC London are part of the London Games Festival, which will combine key game industry events targeted to both trade professionals and consumers throughout the Capital during the week of 2-6 October, 2006.

The London Games Festival Network, a series of high-profile consumer events, will bring to life what videogames have to offer.

 


2-4 October
195 Piccadilly - BAFTA Headquarters

 

GDC London will focus exclusively on advanced techniques in game development, with a special focus on the UK. The event will build on the 2006 GDC theme of "What's Next" by focusing on key next-generation console development issues and PC games.



2-4 October
St. Mary's Church

 

London Content, Outsourcing and Middleware Market, presented by Tiga, is sophisticated and facilitated "speed dating" for service and middleware providers, developers, and publishers to meet and conduct business.


3-4 October
Café Royal

 

The London Game Career Fair, presented by Gamasutra.com, Eurogamer.net and Gamesindustry.biz, will provide the opportunity for publishers, studios and game companies to speak with professionals, recent graduates and individuals from related industries, such as animation, film and computer graphics, who are interested in pursuing careers in game development. 

 


5 October
The Round House

 

The BAFTA Games Awards are the only fully independent and international awards for the videogame industry, rewarding the teams doing the most for art and innovation within videogames.
